Welcome to Our Farm
Lope Along Acres is home to the Graber family and 25 paint horses. The Grabers raise and train quality bred American Paint Horses for Western Pleasure Performance  Ever since they started competing three years ago, they have won 8 Year End Honor Rolls, all in Western Pleasure, and have been in the Top 10 at the past three World Shows in Novice AM, AM, Youth 13 and Under, and Open Western Pleasure

In 1994, the family traded in city life to country living near the tiny rural town of Alexis, North Carolina located just 20 miles  northwest of Charlotte. Neil and Roxanne still commute to Charlotte to operate their spa and hot tub business. But their hearts remain at the 23 acre farm that includes their home, two barns with 16 stalls, an indoor arena and a round pen. Daughter, Amanda, can't wait to get home from school to go to the barns and works with her horses until dark.

Both Amanda and Neil have quite a reputation for being an unusual father - daughter training and showing team. Having showed in at least 38 states the father daughter team have done remarkable well in winning several Youth 13 and Under Western Pleasure,  Amateur Western Pleasure, and Open Western Pleasure Honor Rolls.

On Amanda's 10th birthday, she was given Ima Huggable Jet after her dad saw her win Amateur Junior Western Pleasure  at the 1997 World Paint Horse Show.   The "little" mare was a handful when the Grabers purchased her. After 6 months of dad trying to figure out what the mare needed, and how to successfully  train her, the mare was ready to be shown by Amanda. The first part of 1998 was slow going, but the turning point came at the big Railsplitter Zone 5 Paint Horse Show in Springfield, IL when Mandy and Ima a Huggable Jet placed first under 6 judges in the Youth 13 and Under Western Pleasure. At the 2000 World Show, Amanda and Ima Huggable Jet are the Reserve World Champion in Western Pleasure 13 and Under.  Roxanne won Reserve World Parents Amateur Western Pleasure on her also.  Last year, Neil, tied for 1st on her in the Parents Amateur Western Pleasure but ended up reserve under the tiebreaker rules.
